Introduction & Need for IQAC
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sakthi Polytechnic College serves as
the apex institutional mechanism for quality assurance, academic governance, and continuous
quality improvement (CQI). Established in alignment with the quality frameworks of NBA,
AICTE, and DOTE, the IQAC ensures that all academic and administrative processes are
systematic, outcome-oriented, data-driven, and sustainable. In the evolving landscape of
technical education, quality is a continuous and participatory process rather than a one-time
compliance exercise. The IQAC functions as the strategic driver for institutional transformation
by embedding Outcome-Based Education (OBE), evidence-based decision-making, and
stakeholder engagement across all departments.
The establishment of IQAC is essential to
- Institutionalize continuous quality improvement (CQI) practices
- Strengthen NBA compliance and accreditation readiness .
- Promote student-centric, experiential, and industry-aligned learning
- Ensure transparency, accountability, and stakeholder participation
The IQAC of Sakthi Polytechnic College functions not merely as a compliance body but
as a catalyst for institutional transformation, ensuring that quality enhancement is embedded in
everyday academic practice. Through systematic planning, participative execution, and
evidence-based review, IQAC continuously steers the institution towards academic excellence,
accreditation sustainability, and societal relevance.
“Quality is not an act, it is a habit.” — Aristotle

To cultivate a sustainable culture of excellence through continuous quality
enhancement, outcome-based education, and stakeholder-driven institutional development,
thereby producing technically competent, socially responsible, and industry-ready diploma
engineers.

transparent, participative, and ethical academic governance, thereby fostering a culture of
continuous quality improvement and academic excellence across the institution.
