Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
It is a combination of Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation branches
“It is a specialized engineering to monitor, measure, manage and control machineries in all industries”
Mr. P.V.RAGUNATH M.E.,
Lecturer(Sr.Gr) HOD (I/c)
We offer this course since 2003 with a sanctioned intake of 60. Because of the growth of process industries in India, the demand for this course is growing. Our aim is to produce good quality engineers with good practical skill. The department has excellent infrastructure.
We have well equipped laboratories for the benefit of students. The process control lab has many process stations and equipments to study and analyze the process parameters which are very important for the process industries. The students are trained in the virtual instrumentation field and PLC’s. The department has excellent student’s staff ratio. The faculties in the department are well qualified and have rich knowledge in the latest technologies and have good experience. We depute staff members to undergo staff development programs, STTP and short term courses to update their knowledge and to be on par with industries. We arrange forum meetings by technical persons to impart knowledge to the students. The students visit various process industries and learn the actual working conditions. We also arrange in plant training to the students. Apart from the academic activities our students are trained to improve their soft skills through personality development programs.
Students are encouraged to participate in the technical paper presentation and quiz programs conducted by other educational institutions. Our students achieved state ranks in the board exams. Most of the students gone out from our department are undergoing higher studies and many students are working in reputed companies like ABB, IOTL, ESSAR, L&T, SPIC, SPB, TNPL, T.V.S.GROUPS etc. There is no doubt that our students stand high among all others in technical skills and discipline.
