Mr.R.Lakshmanan M.E.,MISTE.,Lecturer (Selection Grade –II), HOD i/c | The Metallurgical Engineering is an ancient engineering field which laid the foundations for the development of other engineering fields. Metallurgical engineers play a vital role in development of materials for so many applications in various engineering fields. The department aims at producing quality engineers with sound technical knowledge and awareness of the latest advancements in existing and emerging technologies. With pride we state that ours is the only polytechnic college in Tamilnadu offering diploma in Metallurgy with full-fledged support of a fully mechanized foundry division. The history of the department dates back to 1983. The metallurgy Department was initially established in the Sakthi Auto Components Ltd premises at P.G.Palayam. |
