The Community Polytechnic Scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources Development is being implemented by the Institution from the year 2002. The main aim of the Community Polytechnic Scheme is to improve the Socio-economic condition of the rural and socially weaker sections of the people who have missed the opportunity of under going formal Technical Education or Training. This will be done by offering them short term job oriented Technical and Agro based courses. Apart from the main training center that is functioning in the campus, six other extension centers have been established in Anthiyur, Jambai, Athani, Bhavani, Gobichettipalayam and Chellakumarapalayam respectively.

• Welding and Grill Fabrication
• Carpentry
• House Wiring and motor Rewinding
• Radio and Tape Recorder Servicing
• Computer- Data entry Operation
• Tractor driving with Operation and Maintenance
• Dress Making
• Book Binding and Lamination
• Manufacturing of Soft Luggages in Rexin, Cloth and Jute.
