Overview
The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is the leading National Professional non-profit making Society for the Technical Education System in our country with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students and overall development of our Technical Education System. At present, ISTE has a very large and an effective membership base consisting of more than 1,02,985 Life Members, 5,54,094 Student Members, 2410 Institutional Members (including IITs, NITs and other leading technical institutions), 1214 Faculty Chapters and 1322 Students’ Chapters and 17 Sections throughout the country.
ISTE STAFF CHAPTER (TN 16)
Sakthi Polytechnic College ISTE staff chapter (TN 16) was established in the year 1992. At present 45 life members on its roll. Staff members of various departments are participating ISTE-AICTE sponsored short term programmes held at different institutions like NITTR.
ISTE STUDENTS CHAPTER (TN-192)
Sakthi Polytechnic College ISTE Students Chapter (TN-192) was established in the year 2006. At present, 267 ISTE members on its roll in all three years. Various activities like aptitude tests, interview skill development, quiz programme, industrial visits are conducted for the benefit and betterment of the student members of ISTE. Student members are participating in paper presentation, seminars held at various institutions.
Indian society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a national professional body consisting of nearly 40,000 engineering teachers and academicians. Sakthi Polytechnic College is an Institutional Member of the Indian Society for technical Education.The Staff Chapter and Student Chapter of Indian Society for Technical Education function in the campus.
